Feedback from Artists, and Audio Engineers, on working with me as Executive Music Producer.

AARTI VENKAT

Vocalist on 'Little Things'

A wonderfully talented vocalist across Western and Indian genres, Aarti Venkat is classically trained in Hindustani Classical Vocals, and has perfect pitch. The Dubai-based singer and audio engineer also plays acoustic guitar and piano. Her versatility makes her a Producer's dream to work with.

On working with me on 'Little Things', Aarti says:

"What I really appreciate about AERIK KYLO - and that I find essential as a producer - is his super welcoming and encouraging nature! He does such a great job at learning his artists, understanding their styles, approaches and preferences. He works with talent, while also keeping his creative touch. This made me, as an artist, feel like my efforts and talent were recognized. He also creates a studio environment in which I know it’s okay to make mistakes. The production process did not feel pressurizing, which I think is an amazing quality he has as a producer. I’m grateful for him having me on the track, and making it such a fun process!"

Our collaboration on the track 'Little Things', off of the KALEIDOSCOPE EP, involved joint concept development, song writing, and music composition. Aarti played an important role in the composition of the melody and chord structure.

As the Executive Music Producer of the KALEIDOSCOPE EP, I really appreciated Aarti's solid knowledge of both music theory, and audio engineering. She tracks in ProTools like a true champion. And, she has a wonderful personality! Working with such a technically strong singer, with an incredibly soulful voice, inspired me creatively, and pushed me to perform to the best of my abilities.

ANANYA

Vocalist on 'Perfect Delusion'

An incredible songwriter and vocalists, Ananya has amassed a number of fans among Dubai’s international, new generation of singers. Educated as an Audio Engineer, she is also a solid vocal consultant, and she plays the guitar. This makes her a powerhouse in the creative process!

On working with me on ‘Perfect Delusion’, Ananya says:

"As the Producer, AERIK KYLO was well prepared in terms of his vision for the project; he was focused during creative and studio sessions; and he was open to feedback and creative suggestions when it came to discussing various themes for the song and its composition. Additionally, I like that he shared his knowledge, and explained his process, during our studio recording sessions!"

Our collaboration on the track 'Perfect Delusion', off of the KALEIDOSCOPE EP, involved joint concept development, song writing, and music composition. Ananya played an important role in both the songwriting, and composition of the melody and chord structure.

As the Executive Music Producer of the KALEIDOSCOPE EP, I really appreciated Ananya’s songwriting (for which I had previously attended a workshop of hers). One thing we have in common is our love of fun and laughter, so our studio recording sessions were particularly enjoyable, given her talent as a singer.

I also leveraged Ananya’s skills as vocal consultant for the other two tracks off of the EP, in composing harmonies, and helping me get peak performance out of the vocalists.

SAMUEL SABU

Vocalist on 'Should've Been Me'

An incredible musician, singer and audio engineer, Samuel knows the audio production process better than anyone else that I know. Renowned among his peers as a Studio Audio Engineer, Samuel has experience from live audio production in spiritual communities, both behind the mixer, the mic and his guitar.

On working with me on ‘Should’ve Been Me’, Samuel says:

“Working with AERIK KYLO as the Producer for this song was a really unique experience. It was unlike any other experience I’ve had working with a Producer – due to his specific process and his personality. Our interactions as artist and producer extended beyond the studios. We had various creative sessions outside of the studio, for songwriting and exchanging ideas. This really helped me in getting to know him as a Producer. He created an environment in which I felt comfortable and confident in my talent, both in and out of the studio. This, in turn, had a wonderful effect on my vocal performance, and on my creativity as an artist."

Our collaboration on the track 'Should’ve Been Me', off of the KALEIDOSCOPE EP, involved joint concept development, song writing, and music composition. Samuel played an important role in both the songwriting, and composition of the melody and chord structure.

As the Executive Music Producer of the KALEIDOSCOPE EP, I was excited to learn about Samuel’s talent as a singer. Unlike the other artists featured on the EP, I discovered Samuel as a singer in the middle of the production.

JERRY SHAJI

Audio Engineer for the 'MIRACLES' EP and 'IS U GON!?' single

A fantastic Audio Engineer and musician, Jerry is a close collaborator of mine in the studio setting. He has a workflow across analog consoles and digital control surfaces, which facilitates effective tracking sessions. His background in live events performance and management sets him apart, due to his great organizational skills and mindset of a performer.

On working as the Audio Engineer for me in producing the 'Miracles EP' and the 'IS U GON!? (RISE OR FALL)' single, Jerry says:

"The studio recording sessions I conducted together with AERIK KYLO for his productions were great! As an Audio Engineer, I found it very easy to work with him as an Executive Producer. We both fulfilled our roles, without overstepping our responsibilities. He handled performance and talent guidance and management - in order to ensure optimal performances and the realization of his creative vision - and he gave me space to handle all aspects of the audio engineering process. I appreciate the fact that he was very organized and prepared, and knew exactly what he wanted to achieve during each of the studio sessions."

As the Executive Producer of both the 'KALEIDOSCOPE EP' and the 'IS U GON!? (RISE OR FALL)' single, I very much enjoyed working with Jerry as the Audio Engineer. His proficiency, patience, efficiency and workflow enabled me to focus purely on getting what I wanted out of the talent in the studio. He has a wonderful personality, which made the studio recording sessions as much enjoyable as they were productive.

I also leveraged Jerry's skills as musical consultant, in tailoring the musical  compositions to the talents' registers.
